Taco Loco’s Grand Finale
The last day of Taco Loco has been on my mind a lot lately, particularly what that day will be like. I imagine many people cruising over for one last visit, to enjoy their favorite menu item one last time, and to create the last memories they will have of Taco Loco. I also imagine that it will be a day full of emotions, reminiscing, and photo taking. What I know for sure is that Taco Loco’s last day should be a celebration of what this place has been for so many of us over the past 36 years. It should be a celebration of friendships forged over delicious food, of the good times people have had, and of the actual history that numerous folks have made here — a celebration of Taco Loco culture.
As I am writing this, we still have almost two weeks of Taco Loco, but for the final day on October 15th, let’s all get together for a grand finale of everything that Taco Loco has been since 1987. We’ll be open on the 15th from 11:00am to midnight, and Taco Loco’s Grand Finale will be happening all day, so mark your calendar!
There are a few things that we’re working on to make Taco Loco’s final days a little extra special. Gonzo has gotten all of the neon lights working again, so please try to swing by one of these nights and check ‘em out. If you haven’t had the opportunity to wander inside the cafe side of Taco Loco, it also has some really awesome neon, along with some neat murals, other unique pieces of art that Gonzo has collected over time, as well as even more cool vibes. And a disco ball! Unfortunately the cafe hasn’t been open for a while, but Gonzo wants people to experience the cafe in all its glory, so we’re working on getting it ready to open for the days we have left.
Aside from that, we have a few other little projects in the works, but they aren’t ready yet, so I will tell you about those another day. Which reminds me, have you subscribed to Taco Loco News? If not, please take a quick moment and subscribe here so you stay informed of what’s going on.
